Plus, you'll now have access to great SurveyMonkey services. And, SurveyMonkey offers the fastest, friendliest support in the industry. So you'll never have to worry. We'll even get back to you in the middle of the night.
Here it is from TechCrunch back in December 2011:
Online survey business Zoomerang’s 1.7 million users will be added to the 9 million already utilizing SurveyMonkey’s core product that allows for easy, highly customizable online survey creation and distribution. ...
The ZoomPanel acquisition will grow SurveyMonkey’s fledgling online panel service from 500,000 panelists to a total of 2.5 million, making it significantly more valuable to businesses looking to conduct deep market research. TrueSample will help improve the quality of SurveyMonkey’s research by removing fake and duplicate responses, terminating disengaged respondents, and verifying survey accuracy through SurveyScore’s technology.
I used Zoomerang for a project before SurveyMonkey had a panel. Each completed response cost $6 (much lower than Knowledge Networks, but, of course, you get what you pay for). So, I imagine this is how SurveyMonkey was able to begin stating that it "has millions of potential survey respondents ready to provide the answers you need to make critical decisions." The price per complete response is advertised as "as little as" $3/completed response. I haven't asked for a quote so am not sure how that compares to the $6 for each of 843 respondents from Zoomerang a couple of years ago (or $10 per completed response for n=100). But, obviously, on the surface the deal appears to reduce the cost of online surveys.
In case you are interested, I'll be presenting a comparison of the Zoomerang data with telephone and mail survey data at the SEA meetings in November.
