"We're expecting maybe 1 to 2 more inches by mid-week, so it's going to be close [to a record for April]," said Mike Gallagher, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
The forecast calls for heavy rain early in the week and at least a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms today, Tuesday and Wednesday, with the best chance coming Wednesday night.
