The cost of bridges from Louisville, Ky to Indiana have risen from $721 million to $4.1 billion:
Supporters of the two-bridge project remain optimistic that it can be funded in its entirety.
Exiting Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson said the establishment of the bridges authority — a group responsible for a financing strategy — is one reason he believes the project is moving forward.
Asked if the project is still worth its cost, Abramson said last week: “It's worth whatever it costs.”
Whatever!
