It is so, so sad about SO2 trading. In my principles textbook, I struggle hard to put in some good news in order not sound like the stereotypical gloomy economist. SO2 trading was one of my favorite good news stories. Where am I going to find another one if I have to ditch SO2 trading?
That is not a rhetorical question. Please, dear readers of Tim's blog, send me your favorite environmental policy good news stories so I can pick one to drop in into my next edition in place of SO2.
