A thought after reading comments at Climate Progress and Inkstain.
Climate economists ALWAYS work, at some level or another, with climate scientists. Climate scientists feed information into the economic models and economists make fairly simple minded, but extremely useful, calculations of benefits and costs based on those parameters. Economists aren't trying to become climate scientists. (OK, maybe a very few economists think that they can do this but they have the same arrogance and time to waste as scientists who want to redo economics).
