Many lefties will never forgive New York Times columnist (Thomas) Friedman for his Iraq War advocacy and blind devotion to globalization, but nobody has done more to make green mainstream. Friedman (The Mustache of Understanding to his friends) advocates for sustainability -- volubly, unapologetically, and on the big questions, accurately -- to an enormous, devoted audience. He's embiggening the tent.
