North Carolina has landed a Google data center (Google deal's ...)!
Economic incentives are again in the spotlight after Google was promised as much as $260 million in tax breaks and other perks to create 210 jobs.
There is no sense in trying to estimate the true cost of the incentives given the multi-layers of government and different time paths of benefits and costs. Let's just say that North Carolina is willing to pay $1 million per job. Great job, guys.
