A nice man dropped by my office last week and gave me $120. I immediately ordered Volume 2 of the Handbook of Environmental Economics from Amazon.com* (p=$135 -- I'll get the extra $15 from somewhere). I'm not going to read the massive tome,* I just want to see if any of my papers are in the references. Ha!
It arrived over the weekend and I, insecurely, did some serious scholarly research.
The author index says that "Whitehead" is mentioned 6 times. I next checked for "Tim Haab", sure that there might be 3-4 mentions, max. There were 12. Ugh:
- Haab - 12
- Whitehead - 6
Just another reminder that he is taller than I am.
On the serious side, if you consider counting citations not serious, what a great reference book!
*The definition of tome from the Free Dictionary is "A book, especially a large or scholarly one." So, a massive tome is a "massive, large scholarly book."
