Since Typepad isn't free we're considering adding some short text ads on www.env-econ.net (e.g., Exxon, GM; ha!). Ads on blogs aren't unheard of ... take a look at Brad DeLong's and Marginal Revolution. We expect that we would, totally, become shills and make huge lots of money (gobs of money; my forecast model says that we'd make enough to, maybe, pay our Typepad bill and print up some "Tim says 'Drive Less'" shirts and hats).
