Can anyone help this env-econ reader?
I have been an avid reader of your (and Tim’s) blog for about two years now, and greatly enjoy the intelligence and with [sic*] that you bring to your posts. I have a background in economics ... My undergraduate courses in macro/micro/environmental econ barely scraped the surface of the incredibly complicated world of futures and swaps, and ... I would like to have a better understanding myself of the markets to ensure they're not pulling the wool over my eyes.
Would you be able to recommend a primer on commodity markets and the instruments traded on them? ... I know this request is coming out of the blue, but I appreciate any suggestions you could offer, and again, let me say thank you for taking the complexities of environmental economics and making the subject accessible to a wider audience.
I'm sure there are readers out there who have a better idea on this than I ... and I know that Tim has no clue. Suggestions appreciated!
*I think s/he meant "wit"!
