More North Carolina drought news
It's not even real grass.
But in the midst of what may be the worst drought ever in North Carolina, Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are watering the synthetic turfs used by their field hockey teams.
The International Hockey Federation insists.

There is no drought. This is politicians taking cover for letting too many people move here with no plans for water. 2008 is running ahead of normal precipitation. Just one more mind game politicians play that ultimately will result with their hands in your back pocket.
