I'm a genius
Check out YouNoSneaky! and Dani Rodrik's 15 Commandments for and about economics. I like this one:
Anyone who makes exaggerated claims about their pet theories, ideas, or solutions, be they mainstream or heterodox, either doesn’t know what they’re talking about, hasn’t done their homework or is trying to sell you something. “Our results SUGGEST…” is a good indicator that a person has thought hard about their subject. At least as far as these things go. A thorough method combined with some humility should invite more attention than extraordinary claims of genius. Scientific progress takes place at the margin.
I think an increase in the gas tax will solve all of the world's problems (note: I'm a genius AND trying to sell you something).

Here's my favorite:
First Fundamental Theorem of Economics: Where the two curves cross, it’s important.
I actually tell my students that every year!

A lot of the items, including the one you cite, are true of science in general. The need to work with uncertainties was the single biggest lesson I tried to convey to my physics-for-nonmajors class when I was in grad school teaching undergrads.

If you guys are really curious as to why everyone hates you I think I found the culprit:
12. People everywhere are pretty much the same. It is the incentives and constraints they face that differ.
WOW! If that sucker is not a loaded gun pointed at your heads I don't know what is.
Note: I fundamentally agree with #12

Hi, Added a new value add to my blog this weekend - a news widget from www.widgetmate.com. I always wanted to show latest news for my keywords in my sidebar. It was very easy with this widget. Just a small copy paste and it was done. Great indeed.
