More generally, is there a case to be made to shrug our shoulders and say “best not to do anything through government about global warming”?
I think so.
Read the post but the idea is that anything that the government comes up with must be worse than doing nothing. I'm sympathetic to the concern that government can muck it up but disagree, tending to think that some straightforward government policies could contribute to solving the problem.
